Florida Sunshine State Standards are followed using the Montessori Philosophy as well as the 21st Century Classroom skills. Students will learn global literacy, computer literacy, problem solving, critical thinking and creativity.

Technology is taught to kindergarten – eighth grades, beginning with the fundamentals of computers and computer terminology to keyboarding skills, internet safety and beyond. The students are exposed to a variety of software programs such as Microsoft Office, Kid Pix, Kidspiration, Mavis Beacon Teaches typing, Edmark’s Programs: Baily’s Book House, Sammy’s Science House, Trudy’s Time and Place, Adobe Photoshop, Windows Movie Maker, Roxio and many others, as well as an assortment of online educational websites. I will be collaborating with the teachers on many projects and lessons. |
